Modica it is also famous for the chocolate production. Transfer to Agrigento. Check-in at hotel. Dinner in San Leone in a typical restaurant to taste wonderful fish specialties. Overnight at hotel.

You will cross today an itinerary to the discovery of something you do not expected, old arts as the one of the “Saline” and the production of a famous wine: the Marsala. We will dedicate the first part of the morning to the visit of Marsala, the biggest centre for wine production in Sicily. The factory for the production of wine settled down inside buildings called “bagli” that we can still admire in city and in the neighbourhoods and they are constituted by a central garden surrounded by fortifications. Therefore we will taste in a famous cellar wine of the city. Arrival at hotel. Dinner and overnight.
The morning is dedicated to the visit of Erice, settled on the top of Monte San Giuliano, in a splendid panoramic position above Trapani and in silence among the clouds. The old city centre is typically medieval, made of small squares, narrow streets where there are beautiful flourished gardens. Going for a walk you w ill admire portals and the Baroque facades of churches and buildings. Today Corleone is a village that wants to be different from the past. You’ll visit it with a local guide that will take you through the Antimafia museum, Historical museum. Transfer to the forest of Ficuzza, about 5000 hectares, dominated by the Rocca Busambra, where nidificates the real eagle. Typical lunch in the Antica Stazione, an old restored train station that will give you a breathtaking landscape. Return in Palermo. Then you’ll go in Mondello to have a delicious dinner in the Charleston. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Etna, the most active volcano in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. The minivan will reach 1900 meters, from there you can admire beautiful landscapes and the extinct craters. Then you’ll take part in the excursion on top, 3000 meters with the cableway you will reach 2600 meters, from there with the 4X4 vehicle you will reach 3000 meters and with the help of an alpine guide you will admire the active craters. Once the visit is ended, transfer to the Etna’ slopes for the visit of a wine cellar and wine tasting. In the afternoon we will continue to Taormina, a “Strip of Heaven” as Goethe defined it in his “Trip to Sicily”. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
