LAKE MAGGIORE & BORROMEAN ISLANDS

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day excursion by boat to Borromean Islands: Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola Pescatori. The islands take their name from the aristocratic Borromean family, who took ownership of the land in the 16th and 17th centuries. Situated on the western side of Lake Maggiore, directly opposite Stresa, the three Borromean Islands lie in a wide gulf surrounded by mountains. Despite their alpine setting, the three Borromean Islands share a pleasant climate, but each offers a very different experience. Isola Bella was completely transformed by its occupants, and its palace and gardens are the epitome of opulence and luxury. In contrast, the Isola dei Pescatori, with its village unchanged by time, offers a fascinating simplicity. Finally, the exotic atmosphere of the lush and tranquil Isola Madre can be ascribed to the gardens that almost totally cover it. Fish lunch on the islands. During the way back to the hotel stop in Stresa with its beautiful walking lake shore. Dinner at the hotel and overnight.

LAKE COMO

After breakfast, departure to Como Lake. Guided visit of Como with its famous Sant’Abbondio Basilica coming from the Roman period, the Duomo, the Broletto and the Torre del Municipio. Lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon excursion on the lake by private boat admiring the splendour of the elegant Villas of the Lake, the famous Manzoni’s mountains and the beautiful villages in the surroundings. LAKE COMO – BERGAMO – LAKE ISEO

After breakfast, guided visit of Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo: one of the famous most beautiful aristocratic villa of the lake, houses Canova’s sculptures and Francesco Hayez’s paintings. After the visit transfer to Iseo Lake with stop in Bergamo. Lunch and guided tour of the city: a medieval centre of art and architecture. Check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

ISEO & LAKE ISEO

Breakfast at the hotel and meet the guide to start the visit of the centre of Iseo: Piazza Garibaldi, Pieve di Sant’Andrea, Oldofredi Castle and Santa Maria del Mercato church. After the visit take the boat to Monteisola: the European bigger lake island, rich of natural beauties. Discover fishing and boat manufacturing ancient tradition. Lunch in typical restaurant. In the afternoon take the boat back to Iseo. Visit of a wine cellar in Franciacorta with tasting. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

LAKE GARDA

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Garda Lake. Guided tour of Sirmione: described by Catullo, it is recognized for its artistic character. Rich of monuments: the medieval centre, the Scaligero Castle, Maria Maggiore Church, “Grotte di Catullo” villa. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon free time at leisure. VERONA

After breakfast, transfer to Verona and guided tour of one of the most beautiful Italian city. Walk through the centre admiring the famous Arena, Giulietta balcony, the Arche Scaligere, Piazza Dante, Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Brà. Check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

DEPARTURE

After breakfast, packing up your bags and take the leave from your hotel and you will be directly transferred to the Verona International airport from where you can fly back to your homeland.
