pend a day or two enjoying interesting sights of Helsinki, a city called “Daughter of the Baltic Sea”. Fly to Lapland, the northern wilderness. In winter the nights are long and you have good chances to see the Northern Lights on clear skies. You can admire this extraordinary spectacle while staying in a glass igloo and enjoying organized activities. The Kakslauttanen resort lies over 250 kilometers above the Arctic Circle in the far north of Finland with no pollution or noise. The winter weather is usually cold and there is pure snow all over. The polar night ends in late January and the daylight hours begin to get longer in March. The Auroras can be visible until late March or sometimes even early April during the night when the sky is clear.

Tour Plan

Day 01

ARRIVE AT HELSINKI, CANAL ROUTE CRUISE

Arrival at Helsinki Airport meet our representative and get transferred to your hotel in Copenhagen. Check-in to hotel and relax. After a short rest at your room we suggest a refreshing walk in surrounding downtown area.

Beautiful Canal Route -Cruise on summer season (1.5.-30.9.) You have a great chance to see Helsinki from the sea by a sightseeing boat along the Beautiful Canal Route. Present your Helsinki Card at the Strömma Pier on the Market Place for a free cruise latest 15 minutes before the departure. The Sightseeing boats for the Beautiful Canal Route leave regularly for a 1,5 hrs cruise to the archipelago of Helsinki. There is commentary and a cafeteria on board. Dinner at Indian restaurant. An overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02

HELSINKI - KITTILA, IGLOO STAY & NORTHERN LIGHTS EXPERIENCE

Early breakfast at your hotel. Check-out and get transferred to Helsinki airport fro your flight to Kittila. Arrival to Ivalo airport. Your driver will meet you at the arrival hall. The transfer to Kakslauttanen Resort will take about 30 minutes. Check-in at the hotel main reception from where you will directed to your glass igloo.

The small igloos are for 1-2 persons with two single beds and private toilet. The igloos are heated during cold season. You can enjoy the peace of nature as there is no television or music devices in the cottages. The showers, saunas and luggage storage are located in the main building within walking distance (You have ti walk outdoors to reach the main building).

The Kakslauttanen Resort occupies a large area divided to East and West Villages. Please note that there is some outdoor walking between the accommodation and public areas, like the two restaurants and the Igloo Bar. Instructions and maps are available.

Today you will have activities to explore the wild nature. Please, confirm the timings of your program at the front desk! A sightseeing tour of Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort will take you to see a smoke sauna, igloo area, the ice bar, snow chapel and an ice pool. The snow constructions are a subject to climate conditions and exist only during the snowy period between January and early April. The tour includes transportation and a hot drink. Duration approximately 1 hour.

The Aurora Hunting by reindeer sleigh or carriage will be organized in the evening weather permitting. Duration approximately 2 hours. On cloudy sky the aurora is not visible. Please, check the front desk for the exact timing. The public sauna bath for hotel guests is open daily from 17.00 until 22.00 hrs. A 3-course dinner will be served at one of the Resort Restaurants (Aurora or Log Restaurant). An overnight stay at resort.

Day 03

KITTILA - HELSINKI

Breakfast buffet served at one of the restaurants. Check-out. We suggest to store your luggage at the front desk. Today you will have activities to explore the wild nature. The hotel offers a wide variety of other activities and excursions with extra charge. On your leisure time you are also able to try light hiking on the surrounding paths to the forest or to the nearby fells.

Transfer from Kakslauttanen Resort to Ivalo airport (please consult the exact timing with the front desk), check-in for the flight to Helsinki. Arrival to Helsinki airport and get transfer to your hotel. Dinner at Indian restaurant. An overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04

HELSINKI SIGHTSEEING

Full buffet breakfast at your hotel. The attractive capital of Finland is situated by the Baltic Sea, boasting a 100km shoreline and around 330 offshore islands. It is relaxed with plenty of character, compact enough to explore comfortably under your own steam. The Fortress of Suomenlinna, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is just a 15 minute ferry ride away from Helsinki Market Square on a beautiful island and is a popular place to visit. See examples of neoclassical architecture in the much-photographed Senate Square; numerous Art Nouveau buildings, the most famous being the central railway station, and many modernist creations by the world renowned architect, Alvar Aalto. Helsinki’s architecture, punctuated by numerous parks and gardens, inviting bistros and cafes as well as the buzz that always surrounds the area by the harbour, combine to make this a lovely place to begin your trip. Dinner at Indian restaurant. An overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05

DEPARTURE FROM HELSINKI

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out latest at 12.00. After check-out it is free time to explore Helsinki in accordance to your flight schedule. Later transfer you to Helsinki International Airport for your onward journey flight. Have a good flight and welcome back to Finland soon!

Travel Documents

Original passport with minimum 6 months validity from the date of tour arrival along with sufficient blank pages for the stamping of visa

Visa :

Schengen visa required for Indian passport holder. You need to obtain sticker visa from embassy before your travel to Europe / Scandinavian country.

Payment Terms

Payments can be made by Cheque, Demand Draft, NEFT, RTGS or IMPS. Cheque/Demand Draft should be in favor of "VM HOLIDAYS AND HOSPITALITY LLP".
You can also book your package online with Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.

Cancellation Policy

If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges stated here under.
Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation.
Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.
Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.

From 30-22 Days : 25%
From 20-16 Days : 50%
From 15-07 Days : 75%
From 06-00 Days : 100%

Refund Policy :

Refund Process time is 21 working days for any normal cancellation. You will get refund by Bank transfer only.

Note : For any natural disaster or Government Travel Ban, you will get refund as per supplier / hotel / airline policy. If they provide credit note than you will get credit note as per their terms & conditions. We are not responsible for any cash/Bank transfer refunds for it.

Booking Tnc

The above price is per person basis. High Season Surcharges are applicable; rates are not valid for long weekends and public holidays.
Child up to 4 yrs is Complimentary, Adult: 12 years and above.
Personal identification is mandatory to carry on tour for Air Travel, Hotels for security reason like: election card, Driving Licence, Passport.
All rates are valid for Indian national only.
The above given prices are subject to change without prior notice.
The quotation is based on Standard room of individual hotel, however if unavailable then the upgrading cost to be borne by the guest.
Hotel check in is 1400 hrs and checkout would be 1000 hrs. Early check in and late check out subject to availability.
If the above hotels are not available similar category hotels are used as hotel rooms are subject to availability.Hotels may provide room heater at an additional price on direct payment basis.
Meals provided at the hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) are based on a set menu.
Anything other than the set menu will be charged extra.
Driver is NOT A GUIDE; he will take you to the sightseeing’s mentioned in the itinerary. You will have to explore the place of visit on your own.
Vehicle will be not at disposal. If guest wish to go for additional sightseeing extra charges will be applicable.
Itinerary is subject to change.The above mentioned cost is not valid during National Holidays, festive season/long weekends, Christmas & New year.

Special Notes

Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of booking.
There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.
Security deposit is required either in cash or credit card by hotels which is refundable provided no room incidentals are incurred. This security deposit is not included in this quote and must be paid by the guests/corporate directly to the hotel when checking in.
Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing.
The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle . If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same.
