ARRIVE AT HELSINKI, CANAL ROUTE CRUISE

Arrival at Helsinki Airport meet our representative and get transferred to your hotel in Helsinki. Check-in to hotel and relax. After a short rest at your room we suggest a refreshing walk in surrounding downtown area.

Beautiful Canal Route -Cruise on summer season (1.5.-30.9.) You have a great chance to see Helsinki from the sea by a sightseeing boat along the Beautiful Canal Route. Present your Helsinki Card at the Strömma Pier on the Market Place for a free cruise latest 15 minutes before the departure. The Sightseeing boats for the Beautiful Canal Route leave regularly for a 1,5 hrs cruise to the archipelago of Helsinki. There is commentary and a cafeteria on board. Dinner at Indian restaurant. An overnight stay at hotel.

HELSINKI SIGHTSEEING

Full buffet breakfast at your hotel. The attractive capital of Finland is situated by the Baltic Sea, boasting a 100km shoreline and around 330 offshore islands. It is relaxed with plenty of character, compact enough to explore comfortably under your own steam. The Fortress of Suomenlinna, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is just a 15 minute ferry ride away from Helsinki Market Square on a beautiful island and is a popular place to visit. See examples of neoclassical architecture in the much-photographed Senate Square; numerous Art Nouveau buildings, the most famous being the central railway station, and many modernist creations by the world renowned architect, Alvar Aalto. Helsinki’s architecture, punctuated by numerous parks and gardens, inviting bistros and cafes as well as the buzz that always surrounds the area by the harbour, combine to make this a lovely place to begin your trip. Dinner at Indian restaurant. An overnight stay at hotel.

HELSINKI - TALLIAN - HELSINKI

Early wake up at the hotel. From downtown Helsinki you can take tram nr 6T or 9 to the Western Harbor. The tram ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Please, check with your hotel reception on previous day. Your Helsinki Card is still valid for the tram journey in the morning. You can reach the harbor also with a taxi in 15 minutes (extra charge). Please, remember to take your passport with you! Both Finland and Estonia use Euros as currency. Check-in at TallinkSilja desks in Länsiterminaali T2 (West Terminal 2) harbor. You will receive all boarding passes and meal coupons for both outbound and homebound voyage. Boarding closes at 07.10 – no access to the ferry after this time.

The Tallink Shuttle fast ferry leaves Helsinki. Buffet breakfast on board.  On Tallink fast ferries you have several tax free shops, cafeterias and bars at your disposal. Arrival to Tallinn, capital of Estonia, Terminal D.  

The old city originating from medieval time is just one kilometre walk away. Maps are available at the reception desk on the ferry. Walk to the Toompea Hill in the middle of the old town for great views and interesting Russian orthodox cathedral. Descend to the City Hall Square and wander through the narrow lanes and cobbled streets with handicraft shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes. In the new part of Tallinn there are well stocked modern shopping malls, like the Viru center or Forum. The museum of contemporary art, Kumu in the Kadriorg Park 3 kilometers from downtown, is famous for its architecture.

In afternoon, arrive back to Tallinn Passenger harbor, Terminal D for boarding at the second floor. Use the return boarding card you received in Helsinki check-in in the morning. The Tallink Shuttle fast ferry leaves Tallinn, buffet dinner including drinks on board. Arrival to Helsinki, West harbor. An overnight stay at hotel.

DEPARTURE FROM HELSINKI

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out latest at 12.00. After check-out it is free time to explore Helsinki in accordance to your flight schedule. Later transfer you to Helsinki International Airport for your onward journey flight. Have a good flight and welcome back to Finland soon!
