Tour Plan

Day 01

Arrival at Guwahati, Guwahati - Shillong

Your Meghalaya sightseeing tour consisting of 4 nights and 5 days begins after you arrive at Guwahati airport. From here, begin your drive to Shillong.On the way, make a halt at Borapani Umiam Lake. It is a famous picnic spot and is exactly the kind of place for nature lovers. The chain of hills that surround it, coupled with the clouds that cast their shadows over it, lend it an extraordinary beauty. There are various legends associated with the lake, one of which is that it was formed by the tears of a local deity. After arriving, complete your check in formalities at the hotel. Day 02

Shillong Sightseeing

What better way to start a day than a hearty breakfast. Head out on a local sightseeing tour of Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya. Its natural beauty, which is characterized by waterfalls, meadows and valleys, looks like a well written poem by nature. Some of the popular tourist attractions in Shillong which you will be visiting are Cathedral Church, Lady Hydari Park, the Orchidarium, Elephant Course and the Golf Course. Each of these places offer a perfect mix of sightseeing and exploration. After enjoying your visit to the famous tourist attractions in Shillong, make your way to the Shillong Peak, also known as the View Point. The splendid views that this place affords sends a rush of excitement in you. An overnight stay and dinner at hotel in Shillong.

Day 03

Shillong - Cherrapunjee

A hearty breakfast awaits you in the morning. This is followed by a drive to Cherrapunjee, which is one of the wettest places in the world. You will be visiting the Nohkalikai Falls, which One of the must see places in Cherrapunjee. It is the tallest plunge waterfall in India which drops from a height of 1115 ft. The plunge pool at the base of the waterfall is noted for its deep green coloured water. You can also check out the other caves dotting this place. Begin your drive back to Shillong.

On the way, make a brief halt and visit two beautiful places to visit in Cherrapunjee, Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak. Elephant Falls are a three tiered waterfall, where each tier can be viewed through a stairway. Situated atop a hill inside an Indian Air Force Station, the views from here closely resemble that of Scotland. The views of the canyons and the meadows below, with the clouds caressing them from above, makes for some incredible photography and bring that smile to your face naturally. Day 04

Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong - Dawki - Shillong

A delicious breakfast awaits you in the morning. Then it’s an enjoyable drive to Mawlynnong, which is renowned for being the cleanest village in Asia. Other places to see in Mawlynnong are Tree House, Living Root Bridge, Sky View Point and Balancing Rock. All this wonderful sightseeing in Meghalaya is followed by a wonderful lunch. River Umngot in Dawki is your next destination, a place so beautiful it is always included among the must see Meghalaya tourist places for nature lovers. The water of this river is so crystal clear that you can see the plants, stones and other marine life in it. The river also serves as the gateway to Bangladesh. Return to Shillong. Day 05

Shillong - Guwahati, Departure

This is the last day of your Meghalaya tour itinerary. A delicious breakfast awaits you in the morning, which is followed by drive back to Guwahati. We will be visiting the Maa Kamakhya Temple, Narbagraha temple and Sukhleshwar Temple. Later, we will proceed to Guwahati Airport/ Railway Station to catch the flight or board the train for onward destination.

Payment Terms

Payments can be made by Cheque, Demand Draft, NEFT, RTGS or IMPS. Cheque/Demand Draft should be in favor of "VM HOLIDAYS AND HOSPITALITY LLP".

Cancellation Policy

If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges stated here under.
Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation.
Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.
Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.

From 15-07 Days : 75%
From 06-00 Days : 100%

Refund Policy :

Refund Process time is 21 working days for any normal cancellation. You will get refund by Bank transfer only.

Note : For any natural disaster or Government Travel Ban, you will get refund as per supplier / hotel / airline policy. If they provide credit note than you will get credit note as per their terms & conditions. We are not responsible for any cash/Bank transfer refunds for it.

The above price is per person basis. High Season Surcharges are applicable; rates are not valid for long weekends and public holidays.
Child up to 4 yrs is Complimentary, Adult: 12 years and above.
Personal identification is mandatory to carry on tour for Air Travel, Hotels for security reason like: election card, Driving Licence, Passport.
All rates are valid for Indian national only.
The above given prices are subject to change without prior notice.
The quotation is based on Standard room of individual hotel, however if unavailable then the upgrading cost to be borne by the guest.
Hotel check in is 1400 hrs and checkout would be 1000 hrs. Early check in and late check out subject to availability.
If the above hotels are not available similar category hotels are used as hotel rooms are subject to availability.Hotels may provide room heater at an additional price on direct payment basis.
Meals provided at the hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) are based on a set menu.
Anything other than the set menu will be charged extra.
Driver is NOT A GUIDE; he will take you to the sightseeing’s mentioned in the itinerary. You will have to explore the place of visit on your own.
Vehicle will be not at disposal. If guest wish to go for additional sightseeing extra charges will be applicable.
Itinerary is subject to change.The above mentioned cost is not valid during National Holidays, festive season/long weekends, Christmas & New year.

Special Notes

Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of booking.
There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.
Security deposit is required either in cash or credit card by hotels which is refundable provided no room incidentals are incurred. This security deposit is not included in this quote and must be paid by the guests/corporate directly to the hotel when checking in.
Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing.
The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle . If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same.
