In the afternoon visit Qutub Minar (built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199), Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch) and Lakshminarayan Temple (a modern Hindu Temple). Enjoy breakfast in your hotel before venturing out on the 4-hour drive to Agra for an afternoon of sightseeing. Travel in air-conditioned comfort to your accommodation, where you’ll enjoy lunch before heading to the iconic Taj Mahal.
This UNESCO World Heritage-listed structure is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built by Shah Jahan to commemorate the love he had for his third wife, the Taj Mahal took some 20 years to erect. Your guide will provide insider information about the impressive white marble structure and the architectural influences of Turkey, India and Islam that can be seen on its façade.
From there, head to the red sandstone Agra Fort, where you’ll see more Islamic and Hindu architecture. Look out over the Yamuna River and explore the landscapes of this impressive complex, which was built by Emperor Akbar. Enter the ornately decorated rooms with your guide and learn about the significance of the Diwan-I-Khas (private audience hall) and Diwan-I-Am (public audience hall) on your tour.
The final top of your day in Agra is the Tomb of Itmad-ud-daulah. Known by locals as the Baby Taj, this architectural masterpiece was built in the 1600s and is filled with precious stone detailing and stunning marble work. Dinner and an over night stay in hotel.
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel before departing in air-conditioned comfort to Jaipur — approximately a 5-hours drive from Agra. Make a stop at Fatehpur Sikri along the way, where you’ll learn about the history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was built by Emperor Akbar in the 1500s. Marvel at the Hindu and Muslim architectural influences as you explore the walled complex and visit Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal and other buildings located on the grounds.
Return to your vehicle and make your way to the city of Jaipur, where you’ll check into your hotel and enjoy the evening as you wish. Our representative will drop you to the local market, where it’s possible to explore the stalls selling fruits, vegetables and crafts without your guide. Dinner and an overnight stay in hotel.
In the morning visit the Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the capital of this state long time ago. Visit the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of victory) which is a hall glittering with mirrors. In the afternoon, go for a sightseeing tour of Jaipur.
Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan. It was painted in pink colour a century ago in honour of a visiting prince. Ever since, Jaipur has retained this pink colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, a notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. While in Jaipur, visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory and Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past the Hawa Mahal. Dinner and an overnight stay in hotel.
After breakfast drive back to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi transfer to Railway station for Amritsar. Meet on arrival at Amritsar Railway station and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and an overnight stay in hotel.
After breakfast full day city tour of Amritsar, visiting Golden Temple - the most important Sikh shrine which is also called Mecca for the Sikhs is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs, then visit Jallianwala Bagh - where, on April 13, 1919, British and Gurkha soldiers opened fire on an unarmed forbidden gathering, killing hundreds of civilians. Evening visit Indo - Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony - Wagah, an army outpost on Indo - Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Return to hotel. Dinner and an overnight stay in hotel.
After breakfast transfer to Amritsar Airport / Railway station for take a flight / train to your onward destination.
